Well Paul said in an interview, think it may have been on the anthology, that they were saying t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t - the chorus as the slang for breasts (does this forum allow that word!!!)

i'm the one who wanting to be original voted run for your life. actually no it wasn't to be original, more like i really love the song even if it's not one of the most famous or deep or whatever. just a great rocker. but i happen to like great rockers. like ringo rightly says, i think therefore i rock 'n' roll. jude

What a great song ! It's always been one of my favorites. It sounds like a fast, heavy, country and western song to me.
John always hated it, calling it a knock-off, and a phoney song.

no question, the more I get old the more I really luv "Nowhere Man", it's a state of mind I'm too close to, especially in this days I'm in now and the description he gives is perfect- after all he's a genius, isn,t him?

My vote goes to Nowhere Man, though I think Norwegian Wood is also an exceptional song.

The solo in Run For Your Life has a real twang to it. Quite cool. Yeah John says in his "Lennon Remembers" Rolling Stone interviews that he always hated that song. It's funny how songwriters sometimes distance themselves from their songs, to the point of almost disowning them. George Michael recalled that it is easy to totally fabricate situations, such as Careless Whisper - none of the content in the lyrics, the dancing etc, ever happened in his life. To him, it was nothing more than a vessel to get a melody across. The trick is, making it seem believable.
GM once said that he tries to fool the audience that he is trying to exert emotion into all his songs when in concert, but he is actually just concentrating on the basic things like hitting his notes correctly etc. Sorry to waffle off-topic like this, which has absolutely nothing to do with Rubber Soul. My favourite songs on Rubber Soul are actually Paul songs, like You Won't See Me, and I'm Looking Through You. But of course, everythings equally great!

Paul's tracks are amazing on Rubber Soul. Unfortunately, they tend to be overshadowed, by John's songs.
George too came up with the classic 'If I Needed Someone'.
But for me, 'In My Life' and 'Nowhere Man', are the album's peaks.
