On October 9, 2010, John Lennon would have turned 70 years of age. On the weekend of this momentous occasion, a very special theatrical concert event entitled "Remember Lennon: Imagine 70" will be staged over 3 days at 3 select locations. On Saturday, October 9, the exact date of his 70th birthday, the remarkable live production takes place at the historic Shubert Theater in New Haven, CT at 7pm. And on Sunday afternoon, 10/10/10, the day after John's 70th birthday, there will be a special 3pm matinee performance at the Garde Arts Center Theater in New London, CT. Tickets are currently on sale for all three shows, modestly priced at all three venues, with special optional VIP packages also available. Shubert Theater proceeds benefit the Ethnic Heritage Center. John Lennon's 70th - 34 Montagu Square to get English Heritage Blue Plaque
John Lennon will be honored with an English Heritage Blue Plaque at 34 Montagu Square on October 23rd in honor of his 70th birthday. It will be unveiled by his widow, Yoko Ono. This is the flat that she and Lennon first lived in together after his separation from wife Cynthia Lennon.
This will be the 2nd English Heritage Blue Plaque for Lennon. Another blue plaque like this is already in place at his childhood home, 251 Menlove Avenue in Liverpool.
It was July 1968 and John left his family at his Weybridge Estate to take up with Yoko Ono. They moved in to the property during the time The Beatles were recording The White Album. The couple shot the famous Two Virgins album cover in the basement, standing naked in front of the camera for the iconic shot.
Later that year they were arrested at the flat after a police raid that later was revealed as a set-up by crooked police.
English Heritage Historian Howard Spencer, added:
"John Lennon is without doubt one of the most outstanding popular musicians and composers of the twentieth century. English Heritage is delighted to honour him with a blue plaque, as a memorial and a celebration of his connection with 1960s London and with Montagu Square in particular."

New Kids on the Block is my favourite band of 90s. They had so many hits! The ones I remember are 'Tonight', 'Baby, I Believe In You' and, of course their hit 'Step By Step'. These are real songs, not garbage like today! And it is sooo good they have a tour in 2019! So I'm going to attend their concert in 2019. The concert setlist is here: New Kids on the Block tour USA. Check it out and maybe we can even visit one of the performances together!
