Yes, I really enjoy John's more 'miserable' (can't think of a better word) Beatle songs like Nowhere Man, I'm A Loser, You've Got To Hide Your Love Away, etc. Oh, and who can forget, Misery!! Not on Rubber Soul of course, but nevertheless a (*ahem*) miserably great song!

I think John's best songs were the ones he wrote about himself or his life... And most of them tended to be cynical and self examing... 'Nowhere Man', 'Norweigan Wood', 'Scared', 'Help!', 'Look At Me', etc
He was able to write honestly in this type of song, because he knew about 'ME', as he once said. Whereas his songs he didn't like, were always the songs that he wrote in the 3rd person...

1.NowhereMan.(Great vocals.) 2.In my life.(Fantastic in every aspect.) 3.Norweigen wood.(George is great on the sitar, good lyrics.) 4.Girl.(A classic, nothing more nothing less.) The top four out of the list. ;D

5.Run for your life.(One of georges best songs.) 6.Drive my car.(One of Paul's lesser well known one's,still a good song.) 7.Wait or the word.(Decent.) 8.What goes on.(Low pitch of vocals, sung by Ringo, rambles on get's boring.)

michelle is very nice.the first first first song that i heard from the beatles, but it is written by paul, that's why it is not on this poll. I love norwegian wood and nowhere man....but i voted the last.i don't know why.perhaps it is a bit autobiographical.I also like In my life,i love to listen to the part with the harpsicord or whatever the instrument is.
