Hard Days Night Hotel Liverpool joins Beatles related organisations and associations the world over in acknowledging the birthday of the legend that is John Lennon.
On Friday 9th October 2009 the Hard Days Night Hotel will hold a party to celebrate what would have been John Lennon's 69th birthday, a birthday he did share with his son Sean Lennon. With live music provided by Beatles tribute act Beatles Experience, it is hoped that fans of one of history's greatest song writers will party into the early hours remembering a great man.

"You make your own dream. That's the Beatles' story, isn't it? That's Yoko's story. That's what I'm saying now. Produce your own dream. If you want to save Peru, go save Peru. It's quite possible to do anything, but not to put it on the leaders and the parking meters. Don't expect Jimmy Carter or Ronald Reagan or John Lennon or Yoko Ono or Bob Dylan or Jesus Christ to come and do it for you. You have to do it yourself. That's what the great masters and mistresses have been saying ever since time began. They can point the way, leave signposts and little instructions in various books that are now called holy and worshiped for the cover of the book and not for what it says, but the instructions are all there for all to see, have always been and always will be. There's nothing new under the sun. All the roads lead to Rome. And people cannot provide it for you. I can't wake you up. You can wake you up. I can't cure you. You can cure you." - John Lennon.

John Lennon changed my life!!!! I grew up in Poland during the gray soviet block years. We were lucky to see The Animals, The Rolling Stones and many other great bands of the day in Warsaw but the real revolution started here after we've seen a wonderful "A Hard Days Night" film. I loved John from the very first time I saw his face on the screen and heard his wonderful voice. All of the Beatles were FAB, of course. We loved their beautiful music and cheeky sense of humor, but John stood out with his sexy magnetism. We all cried in rage when hated Soviet Union stopped in the last minute the satellite broadcast of All You Need is Love. John Lennon was the true artist and the voice of the generation. His huge talent and what he stood for are still of great influence to young people today.
