After listening to a vast selection of cover songs of Beatle tracks, over the years; some good, some bad, and some very bad... I think 'In My Life', by Jose Feliciano is the best. He does other tracks... 'Here, There and Everywhere' 'And I Love Her', etc... but his version of 'In My Life', is exceptional. John himself once said how much he liked it and you can see why... go and have a listen to it and see if you don't shed a tear. Beautiful....

talking about and i love her, wanna really really get the flying heebie-jeebies??? a silly, whiny, nasal woman - lucky for her i don't know who she is - has covered that beautiful macca track so that they could wriggle out of copyright and use it to advertise A FROZEN SOUP RANGE. this comes after: REVOLUTION for running shoes YESTERDAY for photo films ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE for a talk show PHOTO OF A BEATLES CONCERT for a motorbike POSTER OF JOHN LENNON for a car and serìveral others i don't even want to remember: i've officially had enough!!! real love jude, about to forget the pacific methods

Question: here in italy we have a spot on tv (which advertise freezed pasta, If memory serves) which uses a strange but magical cover of "And I love her" by a singer I don't recognise (Nina Simone? Etta James?). has anyone ever heard a cover like that? Love, Mel

Well I just bought an old tape of the Mamas and Papa's greatest hits, because it had a version of 'I Call Your Name' on it.
I wished I hadn't bothered, it was dreadful. The singing was poor, the harmonies useless, and it totally ruined a great track.
