Why not in the US? The British Royal Mail is saluting their most famous sons, The Beatles, by releasing six commemorative stamps in January that feature six of their memorable album covers. The set includes an image of With the Beatles, released in 1963, which was the group's second album. In the United States, this album was called Meet the Beatles. Others stamps in the series will feature the covers from Help! (1965), Revolver (1966), Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), Abbey Road (1969) and Let It Be (1970). A Royal Mail spokesman said: "The Beatles special stamps promise to be a big hit with fans the world over when they go on sale." He continued: "Royal Mail is featuring some 1st Class Beatles album covers to commemorate the UK band that stands for all that's great in popular culture." The stamps will be available in January, 2007.
