Thanks for posting this. Very interesting footage.
It's from Newquay, Cornwall, England 1967.
The Beatles filmed part of the Magical Mystery Tour film in Newquay. Scenes were filmed at the Atlantic Hotel and Towan Beach.
An article about The Beatles in Cornwall It is more than 40 years since The Beatles arrived in Newquay for a three day filming trip. And yet there's still plenty of interest in the band's short stay in the county. Richard Nash is writing a book about the Fab Four's visit. Turning the clock back to September 1967, and there was a big buzz in Newquay. The world's biggest band was apparently on the way to the sea-side resort. The Beatles were not playing a concert in the county, by then they had given up touring. However they were due to spend a few days filming in the area. The film project was 'Magical Mystery Tour', which aired on Boxing Day 1967.
The Beatles were very fond of filming in the region - scenes for 'A Hard Day's Night' and 'Help!' were recorded near Minehead and on Salisbury Plain respectively.
There is a direct Cornish connection as in September 1967, after a failed effort to get to Widecombe (the coach was too big to cross a Dartmoor bridge), and a brief stop off at Plymouth Hoe, three days were spent in and around Newquay filming scenes for the Christmas TV special 'Magical Mystery Tour'.
