On this Sunday's edition of Breakfast with the Beatles on 95.5 KLOS in Los Angeles, host Chris Carter will celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Beatles debut on the Ed Sullivan. The Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show on three consecutive Sundays in February, 1964. Their first appearance on February 9 is considered a milestone in American pop culture and the beginning of the British Invasion in music. The broadcast drew an estimated 73 million viewers, at the time a record for an American television program. Chris will honor the occasion by playing all of the Beatles live Ed Sullivan show performances from 1964 and 1965. In addition, all the Beatles promo appearances on Ed's really big shoe from 1966 to 1970. And, as always, May Pang with this week in Beatles news.
