www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-entertainment/echo-entertainment/2009/07/30/gloria-estefan-visits-the-beatles-story-100252-24273339/THE rhythm is always getting Latin superstar Gloria Estefan, but she was excited by a very different beat when she went on a pilgrimage around Liverpool. Gloria, her husband Emilio, daughter Emily and a large contingent of the Miami Sound Machine couldn’t wait to soak up all the Fab Four sights when they came to the city for their Pops gig. First stop was The Beatles Story at the Albert Dock, where our source says the family and their entourage stayed for two hours. “They’re all massive Beatles fans, and 14-year-old Emily – who drums in her mother’s band – particularly loves Ringo,” explains our spy. “Gloria really knew her Beatles stuff, though, and was telling everyone about when she met George Harrison. They went into every room and read every bit of information by the exhibits, and Gloria couldn’t stop talking about how much The Beatles meant to her. “She said she would actually have loved to stay for four hours, but they had booked out the Magical Mystery Tour bus for the whole crew and it was time to get on!”
